Railroad Memories

     BRASS CHANDELIER – Ceiling mount brass chandelier.  I was able to find a drawing of an identical lamp as shown in the 1916 Catalog Number 200 Dayton Car Trimmings book.  I have included a photo of the catalog page for reference.  At one time the consignor did send the lamp to Uhrich Locomotive Works in Strasburg Colorado for an estimate to restore the piece.  The letter stated that when they took the various pieces apart they found Adams & Westlake marks as well as Dayton & Phitibone & Mullaker.  Their conclusion was that these companies all contributed to the building of these lamps.   Consignors grandfather was one of the directors of the Denver Tramway Company so without a doubt this lamp saw use here in Colorado.  Obviously this will take some work to restore but well worth the effort.
