    BALDWIN LOCOMOTIVE WORKS – Philadelphia USA embossed around edges of brass front end number plate #7.  Plate measures 8 ¼” diameter with two holes for mounting.  Heavy epoxy residue on reverse.  Consignor states this belonged to a former employee of the Northern Pacific who was involved in scrapping old equipment.  It is believed this is from an old logging locomotive due to the size of the plate.  Plate appears to be in good used condition, original with red background paint in the center.  At least these smaller plates are easier to display.
