LONG ISLAND RR STATION AGENT – crown style gold cap badge with holes on either side for brad attachment.  Hallmarked American Ry Supply Co New York.  Circa 1880’s.  A very hard position to come by and a rare badge from this road.  Consignor states this badge which first belonged to the Station Agent for Deep Park, Long Island, NY had given this badge to a Mr. Robert Walker who was the Ticket Agent/Block Operator there from the 20’s to the 50’s.  When Mr. Walker first started the Agent who was retiring at the time gave the badge to him.  It was eventually purchased from Mr. Walkers Widow in the 80’s.  A chance to add a rare offering to your collection.  No enamel but otherwise good condition considering its age.
